When will you be opening?

We are aiming to be opened by spring/early summer 2023.  Due to delays caused by COVID-19 restrictions, our exact opening date can not be yet confirmed. We are just getting the last few things organised to ensure we give you the best experience possible. Join our mailing list on the “Contact Us” page to ensure you are the first to hear about it!

Where can I jump?

Our primary site is located around 1-2 hour from the cities of Da Nang and Hoi An where we will operate all year round. Join our mailing list to be the first to hear about our dates and availability.

Do I need any experience?

No! Here at Skydive Vietnam we specialise in taking first time skydivers. Our highly trained instructors will tell you all you need to know in a safety brief before your tandem skydive.

How high will I jump from?

All our tandem skydives will be from 4500m (15000ft). The highest in Vietnam! This will give you around 60 seconds freefall time and 5 minutes under the parachute.

What language is the instruction in?

Our primary instruction language is English but only basic English skills are required. We also have staff on hand to help you understand in Vietnamese and Chinese.

How qualified are your staff?

All our staff hold internationally recognised qualifications issued by the United States Parachute Association. Many of them have completed thousands of tandem skydives at locations all over the world.

Can I capture the jump on video?

We offer video and photo packages on all our tandem skydives. Our experienced freefall photographers will exit the aircraft with you to capture the moment on the latest action sports cameras.

Can I jump with my friends?

We accept group bookings and will always do our best to ensure you are on the aircraft with your friends.

How long does it take?

From the time of your arrival the whole experience should take no more then half a day. After signing in and completing your training you will have a scenic 15-minute flight to 4500m followed by 60 seconds freefall! At 1500m your instructor will deploy the parachute giving you a 5-minute parachute ride to the ground. After this you can collect your video and photo packages and are free to leave.

Since skydiving is weather dependent, you may have to wait for the weather to get good enough to jump, so we would advise that you plan the whole day for skydiving.

Is the landing hard?

We use modern high-performance parachute which provide accurate and gentle landings under the instructor’s control.

What if the weather is bad?

Unfortunately, the weather is not always suitable for skydiving. If the winds are too high or we are unable to clearly see due to cloud, we will not be able to jump. If you are not able to have a tandem skydive due to bad weather, you can choose either to postpone it or receive a full refund.

I have a medical condition can I still jump?

Our highly trained tandem skydiving instructors can accommodate a wide range of medical conditions. Give us a call to discuss your exact requirements.

Do I need a reservation?

We would always recommend booking your tandem skydive in advance to ensure availability however, there may some tandem skydives available on the day so give us a call!

What do I need to bring?

All specialist equipment required is provided. Please wear comfortable clothing such as sportswear. Flat soled shoes are also required.

Why is tandem skydiving expensive?

Tandem skydiving is expensive because the operating costs, such as aircraft, pilot, equipment and instructors, are high by nature.

In addition, our service is not cheap because we put safety of our customers and staff at the heart of everything we do. We are an affiliate dropzone of the United States Parachute Association (USPA) and we are committed to operating to USPA safety standards. We only recruit instructors that have internationally recognised qualifications such as those from USPA or British Skydiving. Our equipment is procured from reputable manufacturers, is checked and maintained regularly in accordance with the manufacturers’ guidelines.

Also, you’re about to jump out of an aircraft at 4,500m, do you really want a cheap service?
